What’s new in MixStudio this October 🎃

October’s MixStudio drop began with one idea: helping people turn digital products into thoughtful gifts.

And rather than simply tell you about the new calendar builder, I used it to make something for you.

🎃 The Haunted Business Reset is a free interactive calendar. Open one door each day for seven days and discover a short, slightly spooky challenge designed to help you look at your business differently.

Open your haunted calendar

It was created with the new Make It a Gift Calendar Builder, one of the connected resources in October’s main MixStudio collection, Make It a Gift:

Make It a Gift Calendar Builder
Create your own interactive 7, 12, 24-day (or some other number) calendar, add messages, images and links, choose how the doors open, customize the design, and download the finished calendar to share.

Make It a Gift — Project Planner
Plan how you’ll turn an existing digital product into a gift, then follow the project from idea to delivery with the visual Launch Board app.

Make It a Gift — Giftable Digital Product Kit
An editable Canva template with gift cards, personal message cards, access and thank-you pages, gift guides for 3, 6, or 8 products, a journal page, extra design elements, and a quick-start guide.

Make It a Gift — Promotion Kit
Five customizable emails and ten social posts to help you present and promote a digital product as a thoughtful gift.

Together, they take you through the full process: plan the idea, package the gift, create an interactive experience, and promote it.

And because it’s October, I also added a separate Halloween collection:

👻 10 Halloween Spooky Sales Emails with different stories, moods, subject lines, preview text, and promotional angles.

🎃 30 Halloween Clipart Illustrations in transparent PNG format.

🌙 10 Halloween Backgrounds in a coordinated autumn storybook style.

If you’re already a MixStudio member, the complete October drop is ready for you inside the membership.

If you’d like to join, MixStudio is €9 per month and includes a growing library of practical business tools, templates, graphics, prompts, and marketing resources.

Coffee break?

Thursday is International Coffee Day, which seems like a good excuse to talk about something many of us find surprisingly difficult: taking a proper break when there’s still work to do. You make a coffee, sit down for a moment, and your brain immediately starts listing emails, unfinished tasks and things you might forget. Before long, you’re checking your phone or opening your laptop. The break has turned into work with a mug beside it. One small thing that can help is to decide what you’ll...

What if you don’t have to figure it all out?

Some projects are hard to start because they feel like ten projects hiding inside one. You want to build something, but then you start thinking about all the pieces involved. What tools do I need? What do I choose? How do I set it up? What am I forgetting? What if I choose the wrong thing? And before you have even started, the project already feels exhausting. When that happens, I think there is another question worth asking: What could make this easier before I begin? Sometimes the answer is...

The five-minute check your old freebies need

Here is a small job that is easy to postpone: checking the products and freebies you have already published. Last week, I opened one of my Notion freebies and found that some of the links were outdated. The freebie itself was still useful, but parts of it no longer matched what people would find when they clicked through. That can happen to any digital product. A link changes, a tool is replaced, an offer ends or an example becomes old-fashioned. Nothing is necessarily wrong with the...
