Every business seems to have a few jobs that are strangely more complicated than they need to be.

Maybe it’s finding the right link, resizing the same type of graphic again, hunting for a file you know exists, moving information between tools, or figuring out a process you’ve already figured out before.

We usually don’t stop to fix these things because, individually, they don’t seem important enough. We just get on with them.

But this week, I have a small challenge for you:

Pick one of those unnecessarily awkward jobs and improve the way you do it.

Maybe you create a reusable template, collect your frequently used links in one place, rename and organize a few important files, write down a process, or set up a shortcut.

Nothing elaborate. And definitely no accidentally spending three hours building a productivity system to save yourself five minutes. 😄

The question is simply:

What could you change once that would make this job noticeably quicker or simpler from now on?

Not every useful business improvement needs to be a new product, a new marketing strategy or another tool. Sometimes it’s fixing one mildly annoying thing you’ve been tolerating for far too long.
